Woven Together; Weaving Workshop
Woven Together: A Weaving Workshop and Community Art Project
Join textile artist Debbie Barrett-Jones, the founder of Healing with Weaving, in a Woven Together Workshop and Community Art Project. In this hands-on workshop, Debbie will guide you through the art of weaving on a small portable frame loom, encouraging you to slow down, practice self-care, and connect with others.
As you focus on material, color, and pattern, you'll not only create a small weaving inspired by our Midwest landscape but also contribute to a larger collaborative Woven Together Community Landscape Art Project, which will extend beyond our workshop and find new homes in various locations, with all participants credited for their contributions. Let’s take the time to come together, make connections, and recognize how our lives are interwoven with each other and this rich land around us.
*Each participant will receive a small frame loom and plenty of yarn supplies to continue their weaving journey. Proceeds go towards Healing with Weaving to create more loom kits to be donated to local hospitals, counciling facilities and more.
